Hello!
My name is Jen Blount, I am the artist and creative behind Valley Road Art. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education from Johnson State College (now known as, "Northern Vermont University") but have since strayed from teaching to pursue a career as an artist. I live and work in the picturesque Green Mountain State of Vermont. I am a seasoned New Englander and long time admirer of nature's constant transformations. My painting style varies from geometric abstract to impressionistic.
My process involves first creating a tranquil space with candles, music, and a warm beverage. With the right ambiance I get to work painting from memory or using photo references from my personal collection. It may be no surprise that I enjoy painting for its therapeutic value. My aim is to create art that brings the outdoors in while promoting peace and serenity.
